Episode 162 – Cult Heroes Special

Cult Heroes New

This week the boys celebrate the cult heroes of the Football League – those players greatly admired by fans, who didn’t necessarily get the credit they deserved. We talk everyone from Stuart McCall to Kevin Ellison, Jimmy Glass to Jason Lee and Scotty Murray to Laurent D’Jaffo. Features contributions from fans of various clubs.

There’s also an interview with the former Ipswich midfielder Matt Holland, who became a cult hero with fans at Portman Road. We talk playing in Europe, playing at Wembley and playing with Paolo Di Canio.

There’s all that plus our take on a busy week of managerial departures – including Marinus Dijkhuizen, Steve Evans, Graham Alexander and Terry Butcher (surprise surprise). Oh and Mark can’t resist celebrating Bury’s fantastic form in League One…
