It’s all over for another year. Thanks for downloading and supporting the show this season – it’s been our best yet! Also, a big thank you to the hundreds of journalists, fans, players and managers who have joined us over the last nine months.
In our final show of 2013/14, the boys reflect on an incredible climax to the Championship play-off final at Wembley on Saturday. Despite been severely under the cosh and down to ten men, Queens Park Rangers were promoted to the Premier League following one late swing of Bobby Zamora’s sweet left foot. They beat Derby 1-0, consigning the Rams to another year in the second tier. We catch up again with Charlie Ashcroft from the Open All R’s podcast, to hear all about the celebrations, plus preview Harry Redknapp’s return to the top flight.
Rotherham United made it back-to-back promotions with a nerve wracking 4-3 penalty shoot out win over Leyton Orient, following a 2-2 draw in Sunday’s League One play-off final. We pay tribute to THAT Alex Revell goal and er, THAT Steve Evans celebration. We also look back at Fleetwood Town’s promotion from League Two, which was sealed with a 1-0 win over Burton Albion in Monday’s League Two play-off final. The Cod Army have now gone up six times in the last decade.
There’s also the final EVER edition of My Club with Plymouth Argyle fan Damien Allmark, a special word association game, our pre season predictions reviewed and a very special announcement by one member of the team…
Thanks for listening! Enjoy the World Cup and have a great summer.
