Episode 125 – Live from The Valley

Charlton

Happy Easter! With only a few games remaining and ‘squeaky bum time’ fast approaching, the boys abandon the studio and instead take a trip to The Valley for the crucial Championship relegation six pointer between Charlton Athletic and Barnsley.

Mark, DC and Jim (plus new addition Joe Amphlett) catch up with Charlton fans outside the ground, plus get the verdict on Jose Riga’s impact so far from Valley DJ Paul Glover and Peter Finch, match commentator for CAFC Player. We also discuss Roland Duchatelet’s takeover of the Addicks and the club’s prospects if they are relegated.

The boys also speak to Barnsley fans outside the ground, as the Tykes look to extend their eight year run in the second tier. Danny Wilson’s side start the game five points off safety and rock bottom of the division. We get the assessment on his return and preview a must win match with Matthew Murray, sports reporter for the Barnsley Chronicle.

We also bring you our unique commentary on the game as it unfolds, plus catch up with Barnsley fan Andy Osborne for a LIVE version of My Club.

There’s all that, plus our weekend review recorded in the Bartrams Bar at the Valley. We reflect on the superb FA Cup semi final performances by Wigan and Sheffield United at Wembley, congratulate Kenny Jackett and Wolves on a fabulous promotion from League One, plus discuss the sackings of Ronnie Moore and Port Vale defender Daniel Jones.
