Episode 79 – Danny Wilson departs

Busy show this week! The WAGU boys are joined first by Sheffield United fan and blogger Ian Rands from ‘A United View on Football‘, following the shock departure of Danny Wilson from Bramall Lane on Tuesday night. The Blades currently sit six points off the automatic promotion places in League One, but have two games in hand on Bournemouth. We chat to Ian about their promotion chances, and the future of the club under the ownership of Kevin McCabe.

Speaking of ownership, it’s been a historic week for Portsmouth Football Club. After a torrid five years on and off the pitch, the club can finally start to look forward to life under their new owners, the Portsmouth Supporters Trust. We speak to Bob Beech, chairman of fans group ‘SOS Pompey’, to get reaction to an emotional week in the High Court.

We also discuss those horrible scenes at Wembley on Saturday, Bury’s relegation to League Two, the impending promotion of Cardiff City to the Premier League – plus the rest of the weekend’s action…

As ever, we’d love to hear from you and get your feedback. You can follow us on Twitter and visit the website wearegoingup.co.uk.
