Alan Knill

The bad run goes on… and on… and on. It was an eighth defeat in nine games on Saturday for Torquay United, who lost 3-1 to Oxford at Plainmoor to drop to 22nd in League Two, just one point above the relegation zone.

With Martin Ling on extended sick leave and Alan Knill the new man in charge – what chance do the club have of staying in the Football League? To find out more we speak to John Cadigan, Torquay fan and assistant producer at talkSPORT.

We also chat to Northampton blogger Ben Trasler after the Cobblers’ eighth consecutive home win over the weekend, a 2-0 victory against struggling Accrington. It lifted Aidy Boothroyd’s side to just a point behind Burton Albion in the race for promotion.

We also discuss the weekend’s action – including the FA Cup quarter final at the New Den, plus are joined by Jim following yet another defeat for Leicester against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday…
