Episode 56 – Who next for Ipswich?

Ipswich

Recording the show the day after DC’s big birthday bash was always a bad move. That will hopefully explain the hangovers, as the boys battle on to discuss the managerial vacancies at Portman Road and Victoria Park.

Paul Jewell finally parted company with beleaguered Ipswich Town after the defeat to Derby in midweek, leaving the club bottom of the Championship with just one win so far this season. Stuart Watson (Ipswich correspondent at the East Anglian Daily Times) and Adam Williams (Ipswich fan and BBC South Online journalist) are on the line to discuss where they go next, and the candidates that could succeed Jewell.

We also talk to Craig Hope (chief sports writer for the Hartlepool Mail) after Neale Cooper’s resignation as boss of struggling Hartlepool United. Pools are bottom of League One and haven’t won in thirteen games.

We also discuss the weekend’s action and the arrival of Paul Cook at Chesterfield.
