Episode 42 – West Ham win promotion

Busy show this week! John Ashdown, Guardian journalist and Football Weekly regular, is the special guest as we preview the League One play-off final at Wembley next Saturday between Sheffield United and Huddersfield. The Blades look to finally end their play-off hoodoo, but Jordan Rhodes stands firmly in the way.

We also look back on West Ham’s promotion to the Premier League after they beat Blackpool 2-1 at Wembley in the Championship play-off final. West Ham blogger Tom Victor joins us to talk about Big Sam’s big day in the sun, and look forward to life back in the top flight.

Hugh Wilson (ESPN, Sky Sports, Setanta) is on the phone too, as we look ahead to Crewe vs Cheltenham in the League Two play-off final next Sunday. The Alex go into the game on a club record run of eighteen games unbeaten.

There’s also the Football League Show being saved, Sean O’Driscoll, York City and Jamie Vardy to discuss – plus Northampton against Nottingham Forest in the final Allan Johnston Paint Trophy play-off…

We’ll be back next week with the final show of the season!
