Episode 37 – Charlton up, Donny down, West Ham…?

The Football League is into the final furlong, with promotion and relegation issues decided on Grand National weekend. Reading’s win at St Mary’s has put them closer to the Premier League, whilst West Ham turned up the heat on Southampton with a 6-0 win over Brighton on Saturday. The WAGU boys are joined by Ian Abrahams (aka ‘The Moose) from ‘The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast’ on talkSPORT for the view from Upton Park.

The Willie McKay Experiment has failed, as Doncaster’s relegation was sealed with a 4-3 defeat to Portsmouth at the Keepmoat. Liam Hoden, sports reporter at the Doncaster Free Press & South Yorkshire Times is on the line to talk about the future for McKay and Dean Saunders.

After four years away, Charlton Athletic are back in the Championship. The Addicks clinched promotion with a 1-0 win at Carlisle over the weekend. Our Charlton blogger Sunny Seabrooke is on the line to celebrate and sing the praises of manager Chris Powell. Elsewhere In League One Sheffield United pull further clear of Wednesday in second, while strugglers Chesterfield, Exeter and Rochdale (minus Gary Jones) all live to fight another day.

In League Two Swindon are all but promoted after a 1-0 win over Plymouth, whilst Steve Coppell is in at Crawley – and we’ve also a nod to Micky Mellon and his Cod Army, as Fleetwood Town are promoted to the Football League for the first time.

We’ve all that plus Brighton against Barnsley in the Allan Johnston Paint Trophy…
